United #together

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,

"Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ?
Any comfort from his love?
Any fellowship together in the Spirit?
Are your hearts tender and compassionate?
Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others.
Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had."

Philippians Chapter 2:1-5a NLT

I was reminded of these verses when I connected with the Christian Camping Southern Africa conference last week.

They resonate so closely with the family of CCI Worldwide and highlight the way I have seen it operating especially through these difficult times.

We have been a lifeline for one another, when we may have felt like giving up.

Encouragement in Christ and Comfort in his love - This is our experience, purpose and goal.
Fellowship which we enjoy nationally and globally
Tenderness and Compassion as we support one another and share in each other's trials and sufferings.
Expressions of love in our relationships and communications
Working together - with one mind and purpose - to serve God and build his kingdom, showing heaven on earth.
Generous in sharing experience, creativity and resources.
Looking out for the interest of others by caring and supporting.
Seeking to emulate Christ Jesus.

May God bless and keep you,

Norman Doney
International Director of CCI

Asia-Pacific Virtual Regional Gathering 2021

At the end of last month we hosted the first of our Virtual Regional Gatherings for this year, starting with the Asia-Pacific region with the support of CCI Korea. We had representation from Association leaders and their boards from 12 different countries. The schedule was full, with times for devotions, prayer, worship, Bible teaching, seminar sessions as well as some fun and games. It was an amazing time of connection, encouragement and teaching.

Thanks to CCI Korea for their enthusiasm and energy and for the amazing gifts they sent out and thanks to all who took part in leading sessions and participating in the event. We look forward to meeting with the Association leaders and their boards from the African region at the beginning of July.

Prayer & Fellowship

Our next Prayer & Fellowship session will be led by Kendra Freeland from Canada, see details below - click here to sign up and get the Zoom link.

This is a great opportunity to share and pray and to connect with others from our incredibly supportive CCI family.

Please do join us, we would love to see you there!

Campfire Conversations

Over the last month we have held two campfire conversations both on topics relating to looking after ourselves in this particular difficult time when we are faced with constant changes and uncertainties. In both sessions we were reminded of our God who comes alongside us in our troubles and takes us by the hand to help us through. If you missed either session then click on either image below to watch the recording.

Our next Campfire Conversations session will be led by Chris Lategan on 13 July at 2am UTC/GMT click here for the time of this session in your local time zone.
Chris is the ED of Attunga, a camp in Australia who invest greatly in their interns seeing them as more than just people to do the odd jobs and help out, instead, they view them a different way. . .

"Feeding into and discipling the Interns is our ministry.

Rather than helping out other staff, they essentially are the staff team and each incoming group of interns steps up under the mantle of responsibility for this ministry, taking the place of the interns that have gone before them."

Hear how Chris and his team work with the interns to enable them to grow deeply in relationship with God and to equip them to become great leaders.
