Leaning on Him #together

Dear CCI family,

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
1 Peter 5 v 6/7

Earlier this week a number of us attended a CCI Campfire Conversation led by Swahini Bansod on Mental & Emotional Wellbeing.

Swahini lead us through some very helpful, supportive and encouraging scriptures including the one above. We appreciated that it is not a sin to feel anxiety, worry or depression, it is human, and God will be on the journey with us. I encourage you to listen to the recording via our YouTube channel, click here for the link.

Through this past year we have been beset by many challenges, uncertainty difficulties and disappointments, such as loss of ministry or purpose, inability to be with family and friends, perhaps reduction in income or job loss, or even bereavement.

As we continue in, or come out of, restrictions, there are many uncertainties and questions to be faced over how to Recover, Restore or Refrain as we seek God's wisdom on the journey.

One of the ways we receive support and help is through trusted brothers and sisters in Christ. Our troubles can help us be a comfort to those around us.

God knows and understands our struggles...

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
2 Corinthians chapter 1 v 3,4

One high profile family facing bereavement is the British Royal Family, mourning the loss of Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, a Christian man who was a great support to the Queen, who is also a keen Christian.

One of his great legacies will be the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, encouraging outdoor activity, skill development and service. Many centres around the world have been involved in all parts of the scheme.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family especially leading up to the funeral this weekend.

May God bless and keep you,

Campfire Conversations

As mentioned above, our last Campfire Conversations session was on the important topic of 'Mental and Emotional Wellbeing'. Swahini Bansod from LEADS Outreach (India) led us through the scriptures looking at God's comforting and protective words, reminding us that He doesn't judge us in our struggles, but understands and comes alongside us.

In our next Campfire Conversations session Chris Mitchell from Lighthouse Leadership, Australia, will be sharing his vision for 'Kingdom Camping', click on this link for more information or to sign up for this event.

Prayer & Fellowship

Our next Prayer & Fellowship session will be led by Vladimir Shevchenko from CCI Ukraine, see details below - click here to sign up and get the Zoom link.

This is a great opportunity to share and pray and to connect with others from our incredibly supportive CCI family.

Please do join us, we would love to see you there!
